Title: 2016 in retrospect
Date: 2016-12-31 23:59

End of December, beginning of January, time for the (now usual) retrospective.

In 2016, I

- wrote an [article]({filename}/crypto/otr.md) in
  [MISC](http://www.miscmag.com/?p=403) about cryptography;
- went slowly back to sports, mostly rock climbing;
- made new friends, and didn't lose any old ones, and I'm really glad that
  they're still there;
- created a small [web-based wargame]({filename}/ctf/websec.md) with friends;
- slowly started to rebuild my collection of teas;
- [gave]( https://ressi2016.sciencesconf.org/program )
  [various]({filename}/talks/grehack_2016.md) [talks]({filename}/radare2/r2con.md) about
  radare2, and a [big one]({filename}/talks/ndh2016.md) about [Tails](
  https://tails.boum.org );
- abandoned several cool projects, like Tails and [MAT]( https://mat.boum.org ),
  with the hope of getting back to them at some point;
- attended a dear friend's wedding;
- found the time to read some books from
  [Foucault](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michel_Foucault),
  [Bourdieu](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pierre_Bourdieu), [De
  Beauvoir](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simone_de_Beauvoir),
  [Sartre](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jean-Paul_Sartre) … I'm planning to
  read at least [Despentes](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virginie_Despentes),
  [Durkheim](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C3%89mile_Durkheim), and to
  (finally) finish my
  [Proudhon](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pierre-Joseph_Proudhon) books
  next year;
- published [20 posts]( https://dustri.org/b/archives.html ) on this blog; by
  the way, I changed its appearance too, thanks to
  [skeleton](http://getskeleton.com/). It's now fully responsive, and also
  hopefully prettier;

I don't remember [last year]({filename}/misc/2015.md), and I don't have much
memory of one before either, so I don't really know if there is some kind of
improvement. I hope I'll remember this one, and the ones after.
